Introducing the Alaskan Pups - these cuties were born Nov. 6, 2017, and are a husky-shepherd mix. Mama is a husky-shepherd mix and the father is a husky.
Aurora is a sweet little girl and a bit shy until she gets to know you. All of the dogs in the litter love attention and playtime, but she also likes a nice quiet moment away from the more active boys in her litter.
Pictures don’t lie. These pups are affectionate and oh so cute. We expect them to be large dogs, and all should be excellent companions. This is their mama, who was spayed and returned to her family:
These pups should adapt to homes with other pets and/or children, and all will do best as indoor-outdoor family dogs.
Puppies require a lot of human interaction, and all puppies will benefit from obedience training and full immersion in their human household. These pups' ideal homes will have someone who can exercise them with energetic walks each day, plus commitment to training them how to be the best dogs they can be. These pups hope to have very few hours per day when they will be without the companionship of a human or other pet. They will reward their forever people with boundless love and loyalty! We start all puppies on their vaccinations as soon as they arrive at the shelter (this litter will likely have had at least 2 rounds of vaccinations prior to adoption, with their second scheduled for Feb. 7, 2018; they will then need rabies vaccination between 4-6 months of age.)
Here's a short video of this litter from 1/21/18:
Aurora comes with a 30-day money-back trial adoption period. We will be closing the first round of applications for these pups no later than 1/31 (and possibly earlier that that). The pups will be available to go home when adoptions are completed.
Spay/neuter, deworming, microchip and all age-appropriate shots are always completed before placement, and are included in the adoption fee (suggested minimum $125; more gratefully accepted!)
Can't come to Republic? Don't let that stop you! We have monthly transports to both the Seattle area and Spokane, delivering adopted pets to their new owners. If you can add a little to your payment to help us cover our volunteer driver's expenses, that would be great!
