Ruby 1126

Ruby is a sweet 2 1/2 year old collie-doberman-who knows what mix girl, who was surrendered to the shelter along with her puppies (the Tree Litter). She had been a working farm dog with cattle experience, and her former owner reports that she is good with other dogs, cats, poultry, and children. Shelter volunteers report that she is very attentive, a good listener, and quick to learn. Her biggest trait is that she is a total snuggle-pup!

She will adapt well to most families; although she will need some exercise each day, she would do just fine with some brisk walks/jogs to take the place of working cattle. What she wants most is your attention and affection. She doesn't really play with us yet, though she is showing interest in squeaky toys... learning fetch could be one of your first bonding experiences!

Ruby is about a 1/2 couch size dog - about 65-70 pounds - though she does like to s-t-r-e-t-c-h out to full couch if given the opportunity. She is housetrained, and is enthusiastic without being overly hyper. She has more grace and maturity than the currently listed adorable bundle of energy we call Aria, but has the same sort of sunny disposition.

Ruby comes with a 30-day money-back trial adoption period.

Spay/neuter, deworming, microchip and all age-appropriate shots are always completed before placement, and are included in the adoption fee (suggested minimum $95; more gratefully accepted!)

Can't come to Republic? Don't let that stop you! We have monthly transports to both the Seattle area and Spokane, delivering adopted pets to their new owners. If you can add a little to your payment to help us cover our volunteer driver's expenses, that would be great!
