Amber 1122

Amber and Jenny are a pair of senior poodles who transferred in to our Sammi Fund for Seniors program. Amber, the tan poodle, will turn 9 in May, and at 9 pounds, she is a bit smaller than Jenny (though both are less than 1/4 couch size).

They came in listed as a bonded pair, but after working with them for a couple of months, we have found that Jenny tends to bully Amber quite a bit. They can go to the same home, but we think Amber, in particular, will blossom more if she is away from Jenny and her bossiness. If they do go to the same home, it should be a home with people who are comfortable monitoring and mediating relationships between dogs, where Amber can get some solid one-on-one time without being in Jenny's shadow.

Amber is a little love bug, more interested in snuggling with a person than in playing. She is more submissive than Jenny, and should fit in well with pretty much any type of family. She would love to be a lap dog, and is small enough to enjoy adventures with her family. She has had a recent dental cleaning and a few extractions, and is in good health. She is not currently taking any medications and is a happy girl.

Amber comes with a 30-day money-back trial adoption period.

Spay/neuter, worming, microchip and all age-appropriate shots are always completed before placement, and are included in the adoption fee (suggested minimum $50, or SENIOR for SENIOR - adopters over 65 may name their own adoption fee); more gratefully accepted!)

Can't come to Republic? Don't let that stop you! We have monthly transports to both the Seattle area and Spokane, delivering adopted pets to their new owners. If you can add a little to your payment to help us cover our volunteer driver's expenses, that would be great!
