Castile, born 2-28-16, came to us as a very pregnant stray with two older kittens presumed to be from an earlier litter. We suspect the three had been dumped in the town park and wandered to the local hardware store where they attempted to take up residence. They were less than adept at measuring boards and mixing paint (dang that lack of opposable thumbs!), so were fired almost immediately. The very kind hardware store owner brought them to the shelter - aka the kitty unemployment office. She gave birth shortly after her arrival to three grey tabby boys and two tortoise shell girls and is an excellent and attentive mother.
Castile is a very friendly and curious girl who enjoys attention. She likes to affectionately rub against you as she purrs to let you know how happy she is. At the shelter she spends her time tending to her kittens, looking wistfully out the window, or checking out the volunteers' activities as they tend to her and her brood. The ideal home for Castile will be as an indoor, or indoor outdoor kitty, although we believe she may be happiest if allowed some outdoor time.
All pets arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and vaccinated. Adoption fee for Castile is suggested minimum $40 (more gratefully accepted). All pets are placed with a 30-day money-back trial period, to give pet and family enough time to discover any unknown allergies or other conflicts.
