Return to the Cats & Kittens page
Owl and her siblings Goldie, Spotty, and Whitey, who are about one year old, arrived as owner surrenders (along with their mother Pandora) from someone who just had too many cats, none of which were spayed or neutered, so every year there were more and more cats. These four kittens run the gamut from the laid back, less assertive, lap-loving Owl up to the maniacally playful Spotty. Owl is a gentle and loving tortoiseshell girl who seems a bit overwhelmed by the energy level of her siblings (especially Spotty) and tends to hold back from the action in favor of a quieter spot. In the video, she shows her lap-cat side after she is fished out from where she is hiding behind one of the cat tree poles in an attempt to avoid Spotty's insane pouncing (ha). We think Owl would like a calm environment, and would do fine as an only cat or with a similarly laid-back cat companion.
All pets arrive spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and vaccinated. Adoption fee for Owl is suggested minimum $40 (more gratefully accepted). All pets are placed with a 30-day money-back trial period, to give pet and family enough time to discover any unknown allergies or other conflicts. Can't come to Republic? Don't let that stop you! We have monthly transports to both the Seattle area and Spokane, delivering adopted pets to their new owners. If you can add a little to your donation to help us cover our volunteer driver's expenses, that would be great!
