A quick up date for you. Bella is now known as "Misty" because of her color. Our home is no longer Liz and Dennis's place but has become THE CAT HOUSE. We have all the stuff to make her life a content and a happy one. A cat tree house by the front room window where she watches the birds, various scratching posts, toys and carrier, litter box etc. but it is all worthwhile as she had brought so much love and fun into our home. She follows me everywhere, even helps me sew. Talks to us every time we come home or enter a room. Always purring and sitting beside me, greets visitors and never tries to go outside. She has taken to Dennis especially when it is time for food. She likes to play in her water dish so that means the toilet lids are down at all times. Ha! She makes us laugh and cannot imagine our life without her. We love to tell the story of how we found her. About your nice clean shelter and terrific staff. Once again, many thanks.

This is just a note to let you know how we are doing. When we first got home she stayed in our larger bathroom and hid behind toilet. She did not eat or drink or use the litter box for 24 hours. So we remained gentle and patient and finally she slowly came out and explored every room. So now our princess rules her domain and our hearts. She has turned out to be a purrrrrfect match for us. I so wanted a cat that would curl up beside me and purr. That is exactly what she does and also reaches out and gently touches me. We are having fun watching her choose where she wants to sit and watch us! Ha! Also we make sure there is play time. So far the only she likes is to chase a string. She talks to us all the time and never stops purring. We would like to thank you all for encouraging us to consider the older cat. As you can tell it turned out to be the right decision not only for us but for our kitty.
