I did find one way to calm Beckett (most of the time) when she's out in the open is to open a can of wet cat food, then she's fully attentive.

One of the cats is now into knocking the litter box over and spilling the kitty litter around. Based on his habits with the water dish, I'm thinking it's probably Castle.

My allergies aren't getting any better. I might have to return them. =( Would you want my litter boxes, litter scoops and litter (Arm & Hammer double duty litter, also have Arm & Hammer deodorizer)?

On the cat front, my relationship with Beckett is very inconsistent. One day she actually walked over to me and I wasn't even bribing her with food or toys, but since then any time I take a few steps in her direction when she's out in the open, she's making a run for under the bed. If she's in the bathroom, it's very easy to play with her.

Castle is a quite forgiving cat. I didn't know he was under my desk, so when I moved I kicked him into the side of the desk, but he didn't hold it against me. He's also persistent at spilling their bowl of water, so I've had to leave it in the bathroom sink. I have no idea if they're getting enough water before he knocks it over.

Good news: Beckett/PeeWee is only 25% scaredy cat now. For the most part I can approach her out in the open to pet her and even pick her up, but if she ever runs to hide under the bed, I won't see her for a while. She also plays with the feather toy on a stick and laser light, although Castle/Falcon still has a tendency to finish his wet food first and then go after Beckett's the moment she steps away from her dish.

Bad news: I might be seriously allergic to cats when I'm in constant living proximity to them. I've had serious coughing fits on occasion and there are red bumps breaking out on my arms after I play with them. Will be looking into Allergena and BioAllers, but I don't know what I'll do if they don't work.

Also, I have a Pioneer Pet water fountain that Castle has decided he'd like to pull apart and push around before drinking from it. So I've had to go to the standard water bowl until he stops playing with the fountain.

Castle (Falcon) has been extremely friendly since day one, but he's also very curious and adventurous. He'll climb on everything I don't want him to and has knocked a few things over, and he isn't afraid of water, tin foil, loud noises or two-sided tape, so I'm not sure how to keep him off certain furniture. Will be getting a cat condo with four levels to see if that will satisfy his climbing needs.

Beckett (PeeWee) still likes her hiding spots. She's more willing to come out in the open, but still will not let me approach her in the open and goes running off into hiding, usually right under the bed. But when she's in one of her safety spots in the bathroom, she has no problem letting me pet her. Hasn't hissed at me lately, so that's a plus. She also doesn't eat as much as the other cat. When I left out two bowls of wet food for them, I think Castle fished his bowl and then went to Beckett's bowl and ate the whole thing.

Well today PeeWee/Beckett didn't always run away from me when she was out in the open and saw me coming, but she still loves her confined spaces and retreats to them a lot. Still hisses at me occasionally even though there doesn't seem to be any malicious intent behind it because I can pet her immediately afterward. She doesn't seem to care for the feather on a stick though, although she has taken a couple half-hearted swipes at it. Falcon/Castle, on the other hand, could play with it for hours.

Falcon/Castle is great, but PeeWee/Beckett seems to be a mess. I don't think she's eaten anything since she's been here.

When I first brought her home, she literally bounced off all the bathroom walls like a pinball just zooming from one wall to the next. She also hisses at me but that's as far as it goes since she lets me pet her. But I can't play with her. I don't think Falcon/Castle plays with her either. She just hides in the bathtub or the sink or behind the toilet. Last night she wouldn't come out from under my bed and actually moved with the bed when I tried to move it, so I had to take the bed apart to get her to run out from underneath.

At what point should I be concerned if she's still not eating... or moving?
