Just a quick update on our dear Sonya. We are happy to report that she is very comfortable in her surroundings, much more playful, and has become protective. She so enjoys her trips to Lowes, working in the garage, and ALL the family members. The itching and red eyes are completely gone. She has a kick in her step, happy smile, and loving, loving attitude.........
Again, Sonya was the perfect match for us.

4/27/13:

We checked out the park before heading home. After about 3 miles down the road, Sonya put her paw on Marvin, then  head, and moved to a full lap ride home. We read some of your materials about introducing a dog to a new family. So, we got Sonya together with Esteban in the front yard. Lots of sniffing! We moved them to the back yard and "pee" area. Esteban was frisky, but Sonya kept her cool. We them went room for room inside the house. All the family came over for formal introductions.

Sonya  and the Cramers have made a perfect transition. She is EXACTLY what we were hoping for. This little gal is a lovey, dovey friend. She and Marvin built a bench in the garage, hit Lowes, and are walking. She likes following Marvin around and interacting with everybody. We took her to the vet for a physical which was valuable. She is allergic to corn, so he gave her a shot and switched her to a lamb rice mix of food. The red eyes are gone, and itching is way less. We got lots of good info! Marvin discussed her lack of ability to play games in the yard. The vet said likely she was on a chain and no one had played with her. So, she is on game training. Hilarious!! We have work to do...........

She enjoys her couch and sleeping on our bed. That can be a bit crowded. No problems with potty. We just get her out regularly. She and Esteban and comfortable, but Sonya lets him know no wrestling. I detect a little jealousy, but nothing serious.

We are so happy that we followed through and were blessed  to get Sonya. We still miss Blu! But Sonya is our new love...........

Thank you for your wisdom and advice..........there no words to express how truly happy we are..........

My friend says Sonya is smiling these days and I agree she has a happy cheerful look............cool
