I think it's safe to say that they are settled in. Minnie's eyes aren't even dilated. They are wonderful kitties. Thank you for taking such great care of them until they found me.

I think that I have names that are sticking. CaraCara is now Missy, or Miss Kitty, and Calandra is Minnie. I know pretty original, but they seem okay with them. As with all names, they will probably morph over time. Missy did manage to escape outside yesterday. She got spooked by the chickens and ended up under the shed for a little while. I gave her about 10 more minutes and called her and she was relieved to see me. She came right back, even with the dog with me, and we went back into the house. I don't think the Minnie would come back so easily so I'll have to be more careful with her. They are doing very well.

I just wanted to let you know that the girls moved right in. I had them in the spare bedroom the first day and let CaraCara out to investigate and meet the boys (the dogs). She did just fine. Calandra waited in the bedroom and each time I went to check on her she jumped on the bed and wanted attention. When I got up yesterday morning CaraCara was yelling to come out, so I let them both out to explore around the house. They hid for a little while, but soon came out to see what was going on. Neither of them cared much about the dogs. I think that the most traumatic thing was the TV. They both were a little alarmed by the movement on the screen. CaraCara settled right in on the back of the chair and Calandra eventually joined her for a little while. This morning they had found the sheepskin on the back of the couch and made a nest. I had planned on leaving them in the spare bedroom for a couple of days, but...

I am still working on new names for them, and they will tell me in time what they want to be called. So far is it Kitty or Little Kitty.
