8/4/11:

Tessa settled in quite well, better than we even expected. Within the first week of joining us, she'd mastered meal times, which bed was hers, and the scariest of all.....stairs! She's made friends with the dogs in her new pack (our neighbor dogs, Leroy and Lily) and their owners. Shy at first, she now greets them all with a smile and a swirling tail (too much excitement for just a wag).

She's learning that swimming is FUN, and even though she doesn't believe it quite yet, she's exceptionally good at it.

Tessa graduated last night from her 5-week obedience training class and now knows "sit," "let's go" and "heel." She's getting the hang of "stay," "leave it" and "come." We'll continue working with her and I'm sure she'll master these as well! She's mild mannered and everyone who comes in contact with her comments on her sweet face and gentle nature.

Tessa's up to 73 pounds now, her Vet thinks she'll put on 10-ish more but may not get to 90 pounds. She and Eli compliment each other very well, she's definitely taking cues from her big brother and follows him around like little sisters do. All of this in less than 2 months! We're excited to see what is yet to come.
