Rocky is just an amazing fit with our family. He is really turning into a terrific family dog. It was a little touch and go in the beginning with Rocky and our daughter, Coralee since she loves animals so much and gets really excited around them. Rocky was not sure how to interact with her and didn't have much patience with her excitement. He did snap at her a few times in the beginning in which we quickly got him to understand that that behavior was unacceptable with the baby. When these instances occurred, we firmly told him no and put him outside by himself (which is the one thing he hates the most. He loves to just be with us, mostly me). He quickly caught on and was apologetic to Coralee uponign gaining reentrance into the house. We have had no issues for the last 2 weeks. And luckily Coralee was not hurt. We have also had to work with Coralee on being calmer around Rocky and all animals for that matter and she is catching on to that as well.

Rocky, even though originally meant to be Coralee's dog, has chosen me as "his person" though gets along nicely with everyone in the household and visitors as well. I enjoy the times when Rocky and I get to cuddle on the couch together while I study. He is a most loyal study companion. We consistently receive compliments on what a beautiful dog he is when we are out with him and have had several offers from people who wish to "take him off our hands." We have of course politely declined all of them as he is become an important part of our family already. I have attached a photo for you. Again thank you and Forget Me Not Animal Shelter for bringing this wonderful addition to our family.

Rocky is doing much better with his eating and seems to be adjusting and getting more comfortable everyday. He only eats in his kennel so that is where I have been feeding him and slowly trying to get him use to eating in the room with us. It has taken a little bit of time for Rocky to adjust to Coralee and for both of them to play well together. Today they played together by themselves (with supervision) very nicely and enjoyed each others company. We are really enjoying him. He has definitely chosen me as his favorite though and spends much of his time cuddling and getting pets from me.
